Eligibility Criteria for UP Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana
Applicant must be a permanent resident of the Uttar Pradesh state.
Minimum age of the applicant must be 18 years.
Educational qualification is NOT mandatory.
Applicant must not have received any toolkit related benefit from central/state govt. in the past 2 years.
Applicant or any family member of the applicant would be eligible to apply for a single time only. Family means husband and wife.
To complete the eligibility criteria, affidavit is to be submitted.
To become eligible, caste is NOT the only basis. To avail benefit, such persons are also eligible who are separate from traditional artisan caste. Such persons have to submit proof of their association with the traditional artisan work which includes certificate from village head (ग्राम प्रधान), Nagar Panchayat President (अध्यक्ष नगर पंचायत) or Municipality (नगर पालिका)/ Municipal Corporation (नगर निगम).

About Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana in Uttar Pradesh
The primary objective of Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana is to raise the living standards of traditional artisans working in rural and urban areas of UP state. It is done by strengthening the means of livelihood of Carpenters (बढ़ई), tailors (दर्जी), basket weavers (टोकरी बुनकर), barbers (नाई), goldsmith (सुनार), blacksmith (लोहार), potters (कुम्हार), confectioner (हलवाई), cobbler (मोची), mason (राजमिस्त्री), handicraft workers (हस्तशिल्पी) and those associated with artisan works.
