On 20th February 2025, Finance Minister Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna has presented UP Budget 2025-26. While delivering the Uttar Pradesh budget speech, the hon’ble FM said “सभी वर्गों की पुत्रियों के विवाह हेतु अनुदान की मुख्यमंत्री सामूहिक विवाह योजना हेतु 550 करोड़ रुपये की व्यवस्था प्रस्तावित है।”
UP Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana 2025 Apply Online
CM mass marriage scheme was firstly implemented in the year 2017. This Mukhya Mantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana aims to ensure that daughters from financially weaker sections are married in a respectable manner. Here is the complete process of how to apply online for Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana:-
Both bride and groom must be permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh.
Only those couples whose family income from all sources is less than Rs. 2 lakh are eligible.
The age of the bride must be above 18 years.
The age of the groom must be above 21 years.
This should be the first marriage of the bride and groom.
Widows, destitute and divorced women are also eligible to get marriage assistance.
Mass marriage ceremony must consist of at-least 10 couples.

New SOP for CM Samuhik Vivah Yojana UP
Department of social welfare has issued new standard operating procedure for CM Samuhik Vivah Yojana UP to address corruption issues. The new rules states that:-
When more than 100 couples get married at a single location, the presence of the district magistrate will be mandatory.
During the mass marriage event, a registration counter will be set up where the eligibility of couples will be determined.
Atleast 10% of the selected couples performing marriage under CM Samuhik Vivah Yojana UP will undergo random checks. The checks will be conducted by officers from the revenue or other departments under the guidance of the DM.
Local inquiries will be conducted to determine, among other things, that the individuals have not been previously married to prevent ineligible persons benefiting from the CMSVY scheme.
The deputy director of the division and the district social welfare officer from a nearby district will be deputed at the event to oversee arrangements and submit a report to the department.
Now, only those applications which have been approved with digital signatures from the respective block development officer, executive officer and district social welfare officer will be accepted.
Applying for Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana will require Aadhaar authentication to confirm that the groom is over 21 years old, and the bride is over 18 years.
The application process has been digitised. Applications can only be submitted through the online portal.
Applicants will now be required to submit their applications at least one week before the scheduled date of marriage and applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
