Eligibility Criteria for HP Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh state.
Applicant must be a widow or single woman.
The single woman’s age should be 40 years or above.
The applicant should not have a private residence or house in a dilapidated condition.
Applicant’s annual family income from all sources must not exceed Rs. 3,00,000.
The applicant should have at least 02 Biswa of land registered in the revenue records for construction of house or in whose favor land has been made available by the government.
The applicant’s family should not receive government assistance for the construction of a house, or the accommodation has not been approved under any other scheme.
The grant amount will be approved only once in 10 years provided that the house has not been destroyed due to a natural disaster.
Preference will be given to widows and single women on the basis of the following preference: 1) Whose houses were destroyed due to natural calamities like fire, flood, earthquake, etc. 2) Suffers from more than 40 percent disability.

Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana in HP Budget 2025-26
On 17th March 2025, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu who is also the Finance Minister presented Himachal Pradesh Budget 2025-26. While delivering the HP Budget Speech 2025-2026, the hon’ble Finance Minister said “Under the Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana, the Government aims to include new beneficiaries in the upcoming financial year, with a budget allocation of ₹5 crore for this purpose.”
Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana in HP Budget 2024-25
On 17 February 2024, Finance Minister presented Himachal Pradesh Budget 2024-25. While presenting the budget, FM said “I announce to increase the assistance from Rs. 1.5 lakh being given for constructing a house to the beneficiaries under the Mukhya Mantri Widhwa Evam Ekal Naari Aawas Yojana to Rs. 3 lakh. This assistance will be available to such beneficiaries whose annual income is less than Rs. 2.5 lakh.”
Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana in HP Budget 2023-24
Finance minister presented HP budget on 17 March 2023 in which he announced to start a new scheme Mukhya Mantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana with the financial assistance of Rs. 1.5 lakh for construction of houses for eligible widows and single women. 7,000 women will be given assistance for constructing houses under the scheme in 2023-24. Electricity, water and other facilities will be provided in the houses built under Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana.
