Sarvjan Pension Yojana status checking facility is now available at jkuber.jharkhand.gov.in portal. Under this सर्वजन पेंशन योजना, the Jharkhand state government will provide universal pension amount to all old age (वृद्धा), widow (विधवा), divyang (विकलांग) category pensioners. Sarvjan Pension Yojana in Jharkhand Budget 2025-26
On 3rd March 2025, Finance Minister presented Jharkhand Budget 2025-26. While delivering the budget speech, FM said “अध्यक्ष महोदय, मुख्यमंत्री सर्वजन पेंशन योजना के अंतर्गत 60 वर्ष की उम्र के व्यक्ति आच्छादित किये गये हैं, किन्तु निःशक्त व्यक्तियों, आदिम जनजाति के व्यक्तियों, निराश्रित महिलाओं, HIV/AIDS से ग्रसित व्यक्तियों एवं ट्रान्सजेन्डरों/ तृतीय लिंग व्यक्तियों के साथ-साथ 50 वर्ष की आयु पूरी करने वाले आर्थिक रुप से कमजोर सभी महिलाओं तथा अनुसूचित जनजाति/जाति के सभी व्यक्तियों को पेंशन का लाभ दिया जा रहा है। इस योजना अन्तर्गत वित्तीय वर्ष 2025-26 में कुल 3,850.66 करोड़ (3 हजार 850 करोड़ 66 लाख) रुपये का बजटीय प्रावधान किया जा रहा है। इसके अन्तर्गत लगभग 34 लाख लाभार्थी आच्छादित होंगे।”

Who are Universal Pension Scheme Beneficiaries?
All persons above the age of 60 years,
Disabled persons,
Tribal People,
Widow / Destitute women above the age of 18 years,
Single women above the age of 45 years,
Persons suffering from HIV/AIDS,
Transgenders (Third Gender),
All women belonging to economically weaker sections who have completed 50 years of age, and
All persons belonging to SC / ST category
Jharkhand Sarvjan Pension Yojana Amount
Amendments have been made in the previously running pension schemes for elderly, widow and specially abled beneficiaries. After the amendments, Jharkhand Universal Pension Scheme amount is available uniformally to all eligible people. The amendments have been introduced in centrally sponsored pension schemes under the National Social Assistance Programme and social security pension schemes operated under the state plan.
In the Jharkhand universal pension scheme, each beneficiary will get Rs. 1000 per month. This pension amount would be credited into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries till the 5th date of every month.
Where to Apply for Jharkhand Sarvjan Pension?
Any eligible person can apply for Sarvjan Pension Yojana to the Block Development Officer (BDO) in rural areas and Circle Officer (CO) in urban areas.
Jharkhand state cabinet has decided to introduce universal pension scheme by bringing in necessary amendments to pension rules on the recomendation of the women, child development and social security department. After the amendments, pension scheme in Jharkhand will be available universally to all eligible people who does not falls within two exclusion categories. A person of 60 years of age, any specially-abled person or widow above the age of 18 years and those entitled to pension under any other category will now be excluded only if they fall in the below mentioned 2 exclusion categories:-
If the beneficiary or an immediate family member is an income tax payee or
If the beneficiary or family member is a permanent employee of the state, Centre or public-sector undertaking.
CM Hemant Soren on Jharkhand Sarvjan Pension Yojana
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has launched universal pension scheme to provide Rs. 1,000 a month to all people of the state who are social security scheme beneficiaries. He said “The state govt. wants that the entire 3.25 crore population of the Jharkhand becomes rich where no one suffers from lack of money and their lives could be changed”.
CM added “The overall development of the the state only comes with people’s participation. The state govt. wants to get rid of the poverty through power of people, government policies and intent for development. For upliftment of citizens, govt. has also started various schemes for the welfare of people. Now, govt. has raised the Jharkhand Old Age / Widow / Viklang pension amount or social security benefits for poor citizens”.
