Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana in Jharkhand Budget 2025-26
On 3rd March 2025, Finance Minister presented Jharkhand Budget 2025-26. While delivering the budget speech, FM said “अध्यक्ष महोदय, राज्य सरकार राज्यवासियों को त्वरित, सस्ती एवं गुणवत्तापूर्ण स्वास्थ्य सेवा सुलम कराने के लिए लगातार प्रयासरत है। इस हेतु प्राथमिक, माध्यमिक एवं तृतीयक स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध कराने की दिशा में कई महत्त्वपूर्ण कदम उठाये जा रहे हैं। मान्यवर, राज्य की जनता को स्वास्थ्य बीमा का लाभ लेने में हो रही कठिनाई के मद्देनजर गुणवत्तापूर्ण उच्चस्तरीय स्वास्थ्य सुविधा सुलभ कराने हेतु राज्य योजना अन्तर्गत मुख्यमंत्री अबुआ स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा योजना की स्वीकृति दी गयी है। साथ ही, राज्य कर्मियों के लिए भी राज्य कर्मी स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना लागू की गयी है।”
How to Download Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana Card?
Temporary health cards will be issued for urgent treatments based on the beneficiary’s ration card. The first Rs. 1,00,000 of insurance coverage would be provided by the selected insurance company, while the remaining upto Rs. 15,00,000 insurance cover would be borne by the Jharkhand government in trust mode. Here is the complete process of how to download health card under ASSY scheme:-
Make login by entering your mobile number and then click on Get OTP.
Enter the OTP received on your mobile phone. Fill in the Captcha code and proceed.
Enter your Ration Card Number, captcha code and click on “Search” button to perform health card search using ration card.
Accordingly, the portal will display the list of family members based on the ration card details.
If the details of the applicant match the ration card and aadhaar Card, then you can download the Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana card directly. Click on Download to save your card.
If the details in the Ration Card and Aadhaar Card do not match, you will not be able to download the card immediately.The portal will provide an option to update or correct the mismatched details.Submit the corrected details for verification.
Who are Eligible for ASSY Scheme?
Only residents of Jharkhand state are eligible under Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.
The applicant’s family should possess a ration card under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) or Jharkhand State Food Security Act.
Applicant’s having pink, yellow, and green ration cards are eligible under the ASSY scheme.

Jharkhand cabinet has given approval to Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana on 28 June 2024. Ayushman Bharat Yojana and ASSY scheme would run parallely to benefit Jharkhand residents. Around 33.44 lakh people in the state will get health insurance coverage upto Rs. 15 lakh. This scheme would ensure that no poor household is deprived of healthcare services in the state.

Health insurance cover of Rs. 15,00,000 per family per year.
Coverage includes expenses for both general treatments and critical illnesses listed under the ASSY scheme.
Beneficiaries can access services at empaneled public and private hospitals.
Includes treatment costs for diabetes, blood pressure, and dialysis, with free medicines provided at government hospitals.
Beneficiaries also gain access to treatment for 21 critical illnesses under the existing Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Upchar Yojana.
