Dhoti Saree Lungi Yojana in Jharkhand Budget 2025-26
On 3rd March 2025, Finance Minister presented Jharkhand Budget 2025-26. While delivering the budget speech, FM said “महोदय, शत-प्रतिशत राज्य योजना के अधीन संचालित धोती-साड़ी-लुंगी वितरण योजना अंतर्गत 600 करोड़ रुपये का बजटीय उपबंध का प्रस्ताव है।”
Who are Eligible for Jharkhand Dhoti Saree Lungi Yojana?
Only permanent residents of the Jharkhand state are eligible.
It is necessary for the beneficiaries to have a ration card of the relevant scheme while being covered under the National Food Security Act.
To avail the benefit, it is mandatory for the beneficiaries to show their identity card issued by the government (Aadhar card / Voter ID card / Driving license / recommended by Mukhiya / Ward Parshad) along with the ration card.
Benefits of Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Yojana
This scheme is basically targeted to the welfare of poor people.
People from BPL families would receive dhoti / lungi and saree at subsidized price of Rs. 10.
The dhoti/lungi and saree would be given for 2 times in a single year.
Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Yojana would bring joy and happiness on the faces of poor people.
High Quality sarees and dhoti/lungi would be given to the BPL beneficiaries.
All the beneficiary ration card holders under NFSA Act would be eligible for Dhoti Saree Lungi Yojana Jharkhand.

Jharkhand Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Yojana Launch Date
Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Yojana was firstly launched in the year 2014 by the then CM Hemant Soren. However, this scheme was closed by the next CM Raghubar Das. After being re-elected to power in the year 2019, CM Hemant Soren has relaunched the Dhoti Saree Lungi Yojana on 16th October 2021 which is continuing since then.
Around 57.17 lakh families would be benefited from Dhoti Saree Lungi Yojana in Jharkhand. In addition to distribution of food grains, dhoti/lungi and saree will be provided to the beneficiaries at subsidized rates twice in a financial year at an interval of six months to improve their standard of living.
