Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana in Maharashtra Budget 2025-26
On 10th March 2025, Finance Minister Ajit Pawar presented Maharashtra Budget 2025-26. While delivering the Maharashtra Budget Speech 2025-26, the hon’ble Finance Minister said “Around 2.53 crores women have been receiving financial benefits under the Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Scheme since July 2024. An expenditure of Rs. 33,232 crores has been incurred for this purpose. An outlay of Rs. 36,000 crores is proposed for this scheme in the fiscal year 2025-26″.
Finance Minister added ” Some women’s groups have used the grants received under this scheme as seed capital for economic activities. The State will be launching a special scheme to further encourage such groups”.

List of Documents Required for Ladki Bahin Yojana
Aadhaar Card (Name on the application must be exactly same as that on aadhaar card)
Domicile certificate of women. If domicile certificate is not available, then applicant women must produce any one of the following documents – ration card (made atleast 15 years before the present date), voter ID card (made atleast 15 years before the present date), birth certificate, school leaving certificate.
If women is born abroad then any one of the following documents of husband – ration card (made atleast 15 years before the present date), voter ID card (made atleast 15 years before the present date), birth certificate, school leaving certificate, domicile certificate – must be produced.
Annual family income must be less than Rs. 2.50 lakh
Yellow/Saffron Ration Card holder women need not produce any income certificate.
White Ration Card holders women as well as those women who does not possess any ration card are required to give income certificate to certify that their annual family income is less than Rs. 2,50,000 per annum.
In the case of a newly married woman, if there is no mention of her name on the ration card, then the marriage certificate as well as ration card of the husband of the newly married woman would be required.
Details of bank account of women linked with Aadhaar Card
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra state.
Applicant women must belong to the age group of 21 years to 65 years.
Only married, widow, divorced, abandoned and destitute women are eligible. Besides, only 1 unmarried women from a family is eligible.
Women’s bank account must be linked with their aadhaar card.
Annual family income of the women must not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
No family member of women shall be an income tax payee.
Family members of women must not be working as a regular/ permanent employee in any government dept or corporation of either central or state government. However if family members of women are working as contractual employees earning less than Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum are eligible.
