As per the new central govt’s order, High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) are essential for all 2 and 4 wheeler vehicles running in the Maharashtra state. All the two wheeler or four wheeler must be fitted with HSRP number plates compulsorily as per CMVR 1989 Rule 50. Now order HSRP coloured number plates for your vehicle through online mode as it is now mandatory, otherwise police can cut your challan. STEP 1: Firstly visit the official link https://transport.maharashtra.gov.in/ZoneWiseWebsiteRedirect.html
STEP 2: Upon clicking the link, the page to “Apply High Security Registration Plate Online” will open.
STEP 3: Here you can select your office to proceed with the application. For eg- we have selected office as MH03 (Mumbai East) and clicked “Submit” button.
STEP 4: Accordingly, the portal to apply for HSRP Maharashtra Zone 2 will get displayed.
STEP 5: Here you can click at “Apply HSRP” button to open HSRP Maharashtra online registration form 2025.
STEP 6: Enter registration number, chassis number (last five digit), engine number (last five digit), mobile number and click “Validate” button to place online booking for HSRP Number Plate Maharashtra.
Important Points for HSRP Maharashtra
- Vehicles which are registered on or after 01.04.2019 are already fitted with HSRP plates and are not required to apply again for fitment of HSRP
- If vehicle owners visit the HSRP fitment centre then they will not be charged anything extra for fitment but if they opt for availing the fitment of HSRP at their home, then they will have to pay extra charges to the vendor.
- If the bulk booking is done for 25 or more vehicles for the same location (Society/Parking lot/Office, etc.), concerned vehicle owners will not be charged any additional Home fitment charges for affixation of HSRP.
- A vehicle registered at any RTO office in Maharashtra can get its HSRP fitment done at any HSRP fitment centre (run by any agency fixing HSRP) located within the state (even in other cities). The concerned vehicle owners should choose a fitment centre near their residence or place of work.
