Shri Jagannath Darshan Yojana in Odisha Budget 2025-26
On 17th February 2025, Finance Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has presented Odisha Budget 2025-26. While delivering the budget speech, the hon’ble FM said “Lord Shree Jagannath is the soul of our culture. Every Odia desires to have a glimpse of Lord Jagannath in his lifetime. In order to fulfill the wishes of very poor devotees, our Government will launch a new scheme Shree Jagannath Darshan Yojana whereby they will travel to Puri, have Darshan of Shree Jagannath and Mahaprasad free of cost. How to Apply Online for Shri Jagannath Darshan Scheme
Just like other free pilgrimage schemes, the Odisha state govt. will soon invite Shree Jagannath Darshan Scheme online application forms. These forms may be invited either through the:-
Online Mode: By visiting the official website of Department of Tourism in Odisha (https://dot.odisha.gov.in/), or
Offline Mode: Firstly download and print the Odisha CM jagannath pilgrimage scheme form. Fill it manually and submit Shri Jagannath Darshan application form in the concerned office by hand or post.
Eligibility Criteria for CM Jagannath Darshan Yojana
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha state.
As the scheme has been launched for the welfare of Odia people, so applicant must be a native of Odisha.
There is no cap on annual income of the family of the applicant. However, poor people would be given preference.
Applicant must possess valid identity proof to apply through Department of Tourism Odisha portal.
Documents Required for Shri Jagannath Darshan Scheme
Applicant shall fill up the form completely. Applicants shall submit their Identity Card, Aadhara Card, Proof of age, Passport Photo (2 nos.) along with application.
Applicants shall submit any one of the documents as proof of their address/ age/ identity/ category as prescribed by Govt. of India/ Govt. of Odisha. Besides, MGNREGS Job card/ Antyodaya/ Arnapurna/ Old age pension/ Widow pension/ Ration card under NFSA, etc. in which name and age are clearly mentioned, shall also be acceptable.
