Atal Tinkering Lab List 2025 has been published by the central government at the official website aim.gov.in. Check list of 10,000 ATL schools, 6200+ mentors, equipment list and vendor list. Since these labs have been opened as a part of the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), these labs are realizing the vision of “Cultivating 1 Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators”.
The objective of this AIM scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.

On 1st Feb 2025, Finance Minister of India presented Union Bugdet 2025-26. While delivering the budget, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman said “50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs will be set up in government schools in next 5 years to cultivate the spirit of curiosity and innovation, and foster a scientific temper among young minds.”

There are around 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) in India.
ATL’s are located across 35 states and union territories spanning 722 districts.
These ATLs have 6200+ mentors of change engaged for mentoring.
There are 1.1 crore+ students actively engaged in ATLs.
More than 60% ATLs are present in Govt./ Govt. Aided schools and 96% in Girls/Co-Ed Schools.
Over 16 Lakh innovation projects created till 1 Feb 2025.
