Rajasthan government has launched Shiksha Sanjeevani Bima Yojana for the welfare of class 1st to 5th students studying in govt. schools. On 27th Feb 2025, Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Education and Panchayati Raj, Madan Dilawar wrote on X “मैंने उदयपुर में शिक्षा संजीवनी बीमा योजना का शुभारंभ किया। इस योजना के तहत सरकारी स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले 1.30 लाख बच्चों को 1 लाख रुपए का दुर्घटना बीमा कवर मिलेगा। बच्चों की शिक्षा में निरंतरता, बालश्रम पर रोक और बचत की आदत को प्रोत्साहित करना हमारा उद्देश्य है।”
As the scheme has just launched for Udaipur division only, so studying in 1 to 5 class of government schools in Udaipur division only can make registration for it. Soon Rajasthan Shiksha Sanjeevani Bima Yojana benefits would be extended to the entire state, then students of other divisions would also be able to apply online.
Shiksha Sanjivani Yojana Launch
Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Education and Panchayati Raj, Madan Dilawar, has announced the launch of the Shiksha Sanjeevani Yojana, aimed at benefiting students from Class 1 to Class 5. The announcement was made on 26th Feb 2025 during an event at Residency Girls Higher Secondary School in Udaipur. The main objective of Shiksha Sanjeevani Bima Yojana is to ensure that students do not have to drop out of school due to financial difficulties. Additionally, it aims to:-
Prevent child labor
Promote financial inclusion through Digital India initiatives
Prevent misuse of insurance claim amounts
Encourage saving habits from an early age
Under this scheme, if a student’s parents die unexpectedly, they will be provided a scholarship till the age of 18 years.
Shiksha Sanjivani Bima Yojana is the first initiative of its kind in the Rajasthan state.
The scheme is being implemented with the support of Wonder Cement, Zurich Kotak General Insurance, SBI, and the SME Insurance Promotion Council.
Under this scheme, around 1.3 lakh students studying in government schools in the Udaipur division are eligible in the 1st phase.
According to officials from the Ministry of Education, the insurance will also cover cases where a student’s parent passes away due to an accident.
Rajasthan Shiksha Sanjeevani Bima Yojana Amount
In the first phase of Shiksha Sanjeevani Yojana, around 1.3 lakh students studying in govt. schools of Udaipur division will receive personal accident insurance coverage of up to Rs. 1 lakh.
Currently, the scheme has been launched exclusively for the Udaipur division, but officials have stated that it will soon be extended across Rajasthan, benefiting approximately 1 crore students.
