On 17th February 2025, Finance Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has presented Odisha Budget 2025-26. While delivering the budget speech, the hon’ble FM said “The integration of Central Government Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme PM KISAN with the State Scheme CM Kisan has a multiplier effect in augmenting the income of the farmers and enable them to take care of expenses related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs. This has also protected them from falling into the clutches of moneylenders for meeting such expenses and ensure their continuance in the farming activities. A two-month special saturation drive was launched to cover all the eligible, left out farmers under the PM Kisan programme. For timely financial assistance and input support to the farmers, a sum of Rs.2020 crore has been proposed for the year 2025-26 under CM-Kisan”.
