Andhra Pradesh government has started facility to check AP NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme status at sspensions.ap.gov.in. All those citizens who have earlier applied for name inclusion in NTR Bharosa Pension list of beneficiaries can now check their pension status through online mode.
NTR Bharosa Pension is the new name given to previously running YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme. Through a government order, AP govt. has renamed YSR Pension Kanuka to NTR Bharosa Pension and even increased pension amount for all eligible beneficiaries.

Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav has presented AP Budget 2025-26 in which he allocated Rs. 27,518 crore for NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme. FM proposed the total budget of Rs. 3.2 lakh crore with revenue expenditure estimated at Rs. 2.51 lakh crore and capital expenditure at Rs. 40,635 crore. The estimated revenue deficit is around Rs. 33,815 crore and the fiscal deficit is around Rs. 79,926 crore. The revenue deficit will be around 1.82% and the fiscal deficit will be around 4.38% of GSDP.
The hon’ble Finance Minister said that the work towards achieving Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 has been started. As part of the strategy, the deficiencies in policies of the previous regime were set right and many new policies like Sand Policy, Excise Policy, AP Industrial Development Policy 4.0 has been brought. FM added that economic growth of the AP state is back on track and we will take it to a new level.

NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme in AP Budget 2024-25
On 11th November 2024, Finance Minister presented AP Budget 2024-25. While delivering budget speech, FM said “Our government is committed to the development of all social groups through implementation of various schemes for educational advancement; socio-economic development; welfare and protection of rights. Our government is devising schemes prioritising welfare and aligning with Swarna Andhra@2047 and other promises made in the manifesto. Our government has enhanced the social security pension from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,000 per month immediately after assuming office as promised in the manifesto”.
He added “The NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme is benefitting 64.38 lakh pensioners with pensions ranging from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month. In the very first month of our government, Rs. 4,400 crore was released towards NTR Bharosa, and a total of Rs. 15,218 crore have been released since June 2024”.
