Odisha Higher Education Department is inviting Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana online registration form 2025 at scholarship.odisha.gov.in. Under this scheme, the Odisha state govt will provide financial assistance of Rs. 20,000 per annum to underprivileged students.

The 3 erstwhile scholarship schemes namely e-Medhabruti, Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana (GSSY) and Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti scholarship schemes have now been encapsulated under the new Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana.

Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana in Odisha Budget 2025-26

On 17th February 2025, Finance Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has presented Odisha Budget 2025-26. While delivering the budget speech, the hon’ble FM said “Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chatra Protsahan Yojana helps the students pursue higher education through several initiatives. E-medhabruti offers annual scholarships for undergraduates and postgraduates. Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Scholarship supports provides financial assistance to students pursuing Odia Honors and PG Courses within and outside Odisha. Gopabandhu Shikhya Sahayata Yojana provides Rs. 20,000 annually to underprivileged students. Introduced for the first time, Uttam Chhatrabruti scheme offers 100% free scholarships for 30 SC/ST students per year for postgraduate and doctoral studies abroad. A total of Rs. 105 crore is allocated for these schemes”.

At the homepage, click at the “Login” tab and then click at “Student Login” link.
