CM Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana (CMKKY) 2025 Apply Online, Eligibility, Documents Required

Karnataka government has started CM Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana 2.0 apply online 2025 process at www.kaushalkar.com. Under this CMKKY scheme, the state govt. would enable youths to learn short term vocational skill courses to provide them with employment, self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Youth in the age group of 18-35 years can make Chief Minister Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana registration for free skill training. This training would be given in around 3,000 NSQF-aligned job roles from over 35 sectors including apparel, automotive, BFSI, IT&ITeS, healthcare, electronics, agriculture, retail and tourism, among others. Training aligned to industry needs and standards is provided in over 800 accredited CMKKY centres spread across the state.

The trainees would be assessed and certified after the successful completion of the programme. KSDC also facilitates placement for employment of trainees under this scheme. CMKKY 2.0 in Karnataka Budget 2025-26

On 7th March 2025, Finance Minister presented Karnataka Budget 2025-26. While delivering the Karnataka Budget Speech 2025-26, the hon’ble Finance Minister of Karnataka said that during the previous tenure of our government, Chief Minister’s Kaushalya Karnataka Yojane (CMKKY) was launched. CMKKY 2.0 will be launched with revised guidelines to further boost employability and entrepreneurial opportunities for the youth in the state. Under this scheme along with the traditional skill development activities, the following initiatives will also be undertaken:-

• German, Italian, Spanish and other foreign language skill training will be given to the nursing students of the State.
• An international job fair will be organised in Bengaluru through International Migration Centre to facilitate job opportunities in foreign countries.
• To provide necessary guidance to students in choosing the right career, 2.30 lakh students of Government schools/colleges across the state will be provided with career guidance under the “My Career, My Choice” initiative.

STEP 2: At the homepage, scroll over “Registration” tab and click at “Aspirant” link.
STEP 3: Direct link for CMKKY 2.0 Registration – https://www.kaushalkar.com/app/registration_type
STEP 4: Upon clicking the link, the page to make CM Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana registration 2025 will open.

STEP 5: Here you can register for either “Skill” or “Apprenticeship” or “Employment” or “Self Employment” opportunities.
STEP 6: Select the appropriate option and fill the details in the CMKKY application form.

Eligibility Criteria for CMKKY Registration 2.0

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of the Karnataka state.
• The prescribed age spectrum for the CM Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana 2.0 registrants are as follows:-
  • Jai Kaushal Jawan (Ex-servicemen) – 33 to 50 Yrs.
  • Widows of ex-servicemen, war-widows – 15 to 50 Yrs.
  • Specially challenged – 14 to 50 yrs.
  • Juvenile delinquents – 14 to 18 Yrs.
  • Jail inmates (Kaushal Karagruha) – 15 to 50 yrs.
  • Trainees for Short Term Agricultural & Animal Husbandry Courses (including those in animal husbandry, agriculture, horticulture, sericulture, fisheries and allied sectors : 15 to 50 yrs.
  • All Others – 15 to 35 yrs.
• Applicant must possess aadhaar number and mobile phone contact number while making registration for CM Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana 2.0.

What is Chief Minister Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana?

The new initiative namely CM Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana (CMKKY) envisages to skill 5 lakh youth annually of which 2.50 lakh youth shall be targeted under schemes implemented directly by SDEL and 2.50 lakh youth shall be targeted under schemes implemented by other Government departments and government bodies.

The new Department was established to bring various Skill Trainings hither-to being conducted by different departments into one umbrella. The various skill sets and the corresponding job roles need to be standardized. It also envisages standardizing the Content, Syllabus, Selection of Trainees, Selection of Training Providers, Assessment of Trainees and their Placement.

Salient Features of CM Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana 2.0

The key features of the new CMKKY framework for skill development are as follows:-

• Demand driven short term Training Courses to be finalized in consultation with Industry as per the NSQF standards.
• Flexible mechanism for imparting the Training (Residential/ Non-residential, Full time/ Part time etc).
• All the candidates aspiring to be skilled to be registered on www.kaushalkar.com
• Online selection of registered Trainees (Aadhaar linked) to avoid duplication and ensure they are resident in Karnataka.
• Different levels of Training to meet demands of various Target groups.
• Training to be provided by Vocational Training Providers (TP) through the Training Centres under the Government, Private Sector and Industrial establishments.
• The Training Providers (TP) and the Training Centres (TC) should be registered online with the Department and should be accredited by prescribed Agency/ Body/ Committee.
• Only duly accredited TCs shall be eligible to impart Training. No accredited TC or TP can sub-contract or sub-lease the training or provide training through franchisees. The TCs must be fully owned or leased by the TP or there should be a Joint Venture which pre-dates the date of registration and accreditation of the TP and TC.
• Testing of Skills of Trainees by an independent assessing body that would not be involved in conduct of the training program to ensure that it is done impartially. The Assessing and Certification Body / Bodies will be appointed and monitored by the KSDA and the standards of assessment and certification will be set by the KSDA.
• The placement after training for at least 70 % of the trainees.
• The training under CMKKY scheme is envisaged to be provided by various TPs under Central Government, State Governments, Public and Private Sector and Industrial establishments
