Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana in CG Budget 2025-26

On 3rd March 2025, Finance Minister OP Choudhary presented Chhattisgarh Budget 2025-26. While delivering CG Budget Speech 2025-26, FM said “पिछले साल अयोध्या में भव्य राम मंदिर की स्थापना के बाद से ही हम छत्तीसगढ़ के भांचा राम के भक्तों को रामलला के दर्शन कराने के लिये विशेष योजना चला रहे हैं, जिसके तहत अब तक 22,000 से अधिक श्रद्धालुओं को रामलला का दर्शन कराया जा चुका है। अगले वित्त वर्ष के लिये इस बजट में इस प्रयोजन के लिये 36 करोड़ रु० का प्रावधान किया गया है।”

Tour Details from Chhattisgarh to Ayodhya Dham

The main destination under the Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme will be Ayodhya; however, there will be a night stay in Varanasi, a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath temple and corridor and an opportunity to witness the Ganga aarti. The scheme will be implemented by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and the target is to take around 20,000 citizens to Ayodhya under the scheme every year. The tour will be around 900km and will be undertaken by trains, for which a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the state tourism board and IRCTC.

IRCTC will make arrangements for security, health, food, visits to different spots under the CG Ramlala Darshan Yojana, local transport and escort. For the transport from the residence of beneficiaries to designated railway stations, the respective district collectors will make the arrangements, the government note said. At present, a train per week will be provided by IRCTC, but the number might increase in the future, leading to an increase in the number of beneficiaries, the government said.
