Karnataka government has started Anna Bhagya Scheme Status 2025 checking facility for tracking DBT & payment status at ahara.karnataka.gov.in. Under this scheme, the state govt. provides additional 5 Kg rice per person belonging to below poverty line (BPL) category. The main aim of Anna Bhagya Yojana is to provide subsidized food grains to poor people which would ensure their food security and reduce hunger among them.

Each registered beneficary under Anna Bhagya Scheme can now track their DBT status and payment status through online mode. Anna Bhagya Yojana in Karnataka Budget 2025-26

On 7th March 2025, Finance Minister presented Karnataka Budget 2025-26. While delivering the Karnataka Budget Speech 2025-26, the hon’ble Finance Minister of Karnataka said the following things:-

• The financial assistance given in lieu of additional 5 kg rice under the Anna Bhagya Scheme started with the objective of mitigating the hunger of the poor in the state will be replaced with 5 Kg additional rice. This will provide additional rice to 4.21 crore beneficiaries.
• Use of technology will be maximised to improve the public distribution system further. Under this, CCTVs will be installed in wholesale warehouses, GPS-based vehicle tracking system will be set up and Command Control Centres will be established at a total cost of Rs. 5 crore.
• Anna Suvidha scheme was implemented last year for home delivery of food grains to households with only senior citizens above 80 years. 2 lakh beneficiaries have been identified under this scheme. This service will be extended to include households with only senior citizens above 75 years of age in the present year. 3.30 lakh beneficiaries will benefit from this initiative.
• For efficient monitoring of Public Distribution System (PDS), the electronic weighing machine and point of sale devices in Fair Price Shops will be integrated with the IT system of PDS.
• Wholesale margin under Anna Bhagya scheme will be increased from Rs. 35 to Rs. 45 per quintal.
• New fair price shops will be started wherever necessary. Scheduled caste/Scheduled tribe communities and Co-Operative societies will be given preference in allotment.

• At the homepage, click at “e-Services” link present in the main menu or directly click https://ahara.karnataka.gov.in/Home/EServices
• Accordingly, the page to check Ahara Karnataka E Services will get displayed on your screen.



• Scroll over “e-Status” section, then scroll over “DBT Status” section and then select the region.

• Select month, year, enter ration card number, captcha and click “Go” button. Here we have select month as November, year as 2024, ration card no. as 520200394132, entered captcha and clicked Go button.



• Here you can check head of family name, member UID, members count, card type, eligible quantity, amount (Rs.). Also one can check ration card no, member name, bank account number, bank name, date of credit, bank account holder name and amount in Rupees.

What is Anna Bhagya Scheme of Karnataka?

Anna Bhagya Yojana aims to provide free 10 Kg Rice per person per month to BPL families. The poor people gets 5 kg rice under National Food Security Act (NFSA). Now the state govt. will provide an additional 5 kg rice to BPL ration card holders under free rice distribution scheme. Thus, each beneficiary of Anna Bhagya Yojana would get 10 kg free rice every month. For eg- let’s say your family of five qualifies for the Anna Bhagya yojna, then your family will get additional 25 kg of rice each month.
