Earlier, grant of 40,000 was given to beneficiaries earning less than Rs. 35000 per year. Now as per new guidelines, marriage grant of Rs. 51,000/- is provided for marriage of a girl whose father or both the parents is not alive, or whose father is alive but he is incapacitated or bedridden because of physical or mental disability including prolonged illness, or whose mother is deserted/ divorced women and to the residents/ former residents of State Home-cumProtective Homes (Nari Seva Sadan)/ Child Care Institutions having no regular source of income.
The grant under this Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana is provided to the aforementioned provided their annual income does not exceed Rs. 50,000/- (excluding MNREGA income).

Age Proof of both boy and girl,
Bonafide Himachali Certificate,
Income Certificate as proof of annual family income of applicants,
Wedding Card which clearly specifies date of marriage,
If wedding is already done, then Marriage Registration Certificate is required.
