Nikshay Poshan Yojana Registration 2024 and login process begins at nikshay.in, apply online as informant and make login to report TB cases online. Nikshay Poshan is an incentive scheme under National Health Mission (NHM) launched by Central TB Division of MoHFW for patients suffering from Tuberculosis (TB). Under this scheme, the central govt. will provide Rs. 500 per month to all TB patients who are under treatment and have registered / notified themselves on the NIKSHAY portal. Here is the complete process for new informant registration on the NIKSHAY portal:-

  • Visit the NIKSHAY portal website at https://www.nikshay.in/

  • At the homepage, click on the “New Informant Registration” tab or directly click https://www.nikshay.in/Home/InformantRegistration

  • Enter your hierarchy details (state, district, block, healthcare facility, address), bank details (bank name, account number, IFSC code), basic details (name, email address phone number), login details and click on “Submit” button.
  • Once Nikshay Poshan Yojana registration process is complete, you will receive an email with a verification link. Click on the link to verify your account.
  • After verification of your account, you can log in to the nikshay in portal and start notifying TB cases to the government.

Note: The patient must visit the nearest healthcare facility to get registered on the NIKSHAY portal: https://www.nikshay.in/.

How to Notify a TB Case?

To notify a TB case, follow these steps:-

  • Visit the NIKSHAY portal website at https://www.nikshay.in/ and login.
  • Click on the “Notify TB Case” button.
  • Enter the patient’s personal information, such as their name, date of birth, and address.
  • Enter the patient’s TB diagnosis information, such as the type of TB and the date of diagnosis.
  • Enter the patient’s treatment information, such as the start date of treatment and the type of treatment.
  • Click on the “Submit” button.
  • The government will then verify the information and process the incentive payment.

Please note that all TB cases must be notified to the government through the NIKSHAY portal in order to be eligible for the incentive payment.

Nikshay Poshan Yojana Offline Application Process

Each TB patient taking treatment from either public or private sector must be notified on the Nikshay Portal at nikshay.in by the officials. For this purpose, patients will have to come to TB treatment centers in the nearest healthcare facility along with their details which would be stored in database. Upon linking of beneficiary details to nikshay portal, the health care facility will have the responsibility to update patient’s data and send enrollment message to patients.

Eligibility Criteria for Nikshay Poshan Yojana

  • Applicant must be a Tuberculosis (TB) Patient which means that all patients suffering from tuberculosis who are notified to the government on or after April 1, 2018, including those who are already being treated for TB, are eligible for financial incentives.
  • To become eligible for incentives, each patient is mandated to be registered / notified on the NIKSHAY Portal.

  • Bank Details of Parent / Guardian (in case the TB patient does not have a bank account)
  • Aadhaar Number
  • Medical Report
  • Healthcare provider’s information, such as the name and address of the facility.

Nikshay Poshan Yojana Amount

All TB patients notified on or after 1st April 2018 including all existing TB patients under treatment are eligible to receive incentives under Nikshay Poshan Yojana. To avail scheme benefits, the patient must be registered/notified on the NIKSHAY portal. Each eligible beneficiary would get Rs. 500 p.m in their bank accounts through direct benefit transfer (DBT) mode. Nikshay Poshan Yojana was initially launched in the year 2018 and is now being implemented by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).

Benefits of Nikshay Poshan Scheme

Under Nikshay Poshan Yojana, central govt. provides financial incentive of Rs. 500 per month for each notified TB patient. However, this assistance amount is given only for that duration for which the patient is on anti-TB treatment. Nikshay Yojana benefits can be given to TB patients in either cash or in-kind.

  • Financial incentive of ₹500/- per month for each notified TB patient for the duration for which the patient is on anti-TB treatment.
  • In-kind where the total value of the food basket being distributed must not be less than ₹500 per month.

(It is the discretion of each state as to whether to provide the benefits in cash or in-kind)

NI-KSHAY-(Ni=End, Kshay=TB) is the web enabled patient management system for TB control under National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP). It is developed and maintained by the Central TB Division (CTD), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC), and the World Health Organization Country office for India.
